Use a specific work description
State whether the proposal covers the roof stack, an internal fireplace, a flue over several floors or a combination. Include roof repairs and any structural alterations. An incomplete description may leave relevant activities out of the check.
Collect available construction and investigation information before answering questions. If something is unknown, have it checked. Guessing about matters such as materials or listed status makes the outcome less useful.
Use the Omgevingsloket
The Omgevingsloket helps you investigate whether a permit, notification or information submission is required. It also provides rules on a map. Keep your entries and the result with your project so it remains clear which proposal was checked.
Keep the questions separate
A demolition notification is not an environmental permit. Separate consent may also be needed from co-owners, neighbours or a VvE. Ask the municipality or environmental service to explain unclear outcomes. A structural assessment has another purpose: establishing how the work can be carried out responsibly.
Recheck when the proposal changes
An expanded scope or new information may affect an earlier outcome. Before execution, confirm that the checked option matches the agreed work. Also agree who handles applications or notifications and who shares applicable conditions with the contractor.
Frequently asked questions
Can I use the result for my neighbour’s house?
No. Use your own location and proposal. Buildings and applicable rules can differ.
Is a screenshot of the outcome enough for the contractor?
Keep the work description and answers too. Share any decisions, conditions and further documents needed for execution.
